Season   June 15 - August 11

Hours:  Monday - Friday:  1:00 - 5:00 pm and 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Saturday:  1:00 - 7:00 pm
Sunday:  2:00 - 7:00 pm
(All times are weather permitting)
The pool will close if the temperature is less than 71 degrees and/or there are 15 or less swimmers.

Children 3 and under are free with a paying adult.

Unsupervised children 10 and under will be sent home.

Household is same home address for all members.


Under the direction of the Dickinson County Health Department and the City of Abilene the following information needs to be given prior to entrance into the Abilene Public Swimming Pool:

  • First and last name of EACH patron
  • Cell phone number for each person who has a phone
  • Minors must list legal guardian’s name along with legal guardian’s phone number
  • County of residence for each patron

Scholarships are available for all children who qualify for free or reduced lunches for swim lessons, swim team, and season passes.  These scholarships are made possible through the Jeffcoat Memorial Foundation.  please contact the Parks and Recreation office (785) 263-7266 for more information regarding scholarships.

Private Parties

Persons or organization wishing to reserve the swimming pool must contact the pool manager 72 hours in advance. Times available are Monday - Friday:  8:00 - 9:30 pm, Saturday: 10:00 am - Noon and 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Sunday:  7:00 - 9:00 pm.  
Fee:  $100/hour for 0 - 100 people        $175/hour for 101 - 200 people   There is a one hour minimum
