Responsibilities

The Finance Department is responsible for the following programs and services:

  • Provide Support and Information Services to other Departments and the Public
  • Budget Development and Long Range Financial Planning
  • Cash Management
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable/Purchasing
  • Utility Billing

The City Commission has adopted General Financial and Budgetary Policies (PDF) to guide the financial condition the City is governed under. The policies are to be implemented by the City Manager and Finance Director to ensure that the City meets a certain level of best management practices for budgeting and financing operations.
