[ARCHIVED] FALL CLEAN UP WEEK

The City of Abilenes "Fall Clean up week" will be September 18th through September 22.  Items that do not meet the regulations will not be picked up.  Items will only be picked up curbside and is only provided to Abilene City Residents, not commercial businesses.  The City will NOT remove the following:  
Tires, Refrigerators, Freezers, Air Conditioners, Humidifiers, any portion of trees or limbs over 6 inches in diameter or 8 feet long, household hazardous waste and chemicals such at batteries, pains, oil or fuel, improperly sorted waste such as metals and appliances, brush and limbs, and general trash need to be in separate piles.  Any constructions or demolition waste such as lumber, treated or painted lumber, pallets, sheet rock, blocks, bricks, plywood or particle board, posts with concrete or wire attached and any other items the County Transfer Station does not accept.  
Residents are advised that appliances, metals, household hazardous waste materials such as paints, oils, batteries and herbicides are accepted free of charge at the County Transfer Station as per their normal operation.  It is located East of Abilene on Jeep Road.  
The City wide pick up Schedule is as follows:
Monday, September 18 - North side of 10th Street to North City limit, from Mud Creek to East City limit.
Tuesday, September 19 - South side of 10th Street to North side of North 3rd Street, from Mud Creed to East City Limits.
Wednesday, September 20 - South side North 3rd Street to South City limits from Mud Creed to East City limit.
Thursday - September 21 - West of Mud Creek from North to South City Limits.
