A special meeting of the City Commission of the City of Abilene, Kansas will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 4:00 p.m., at the Abilene Public Library, 209 NW 4th Street, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
The purpose of such special meeting shall be to consider Ordinance 20-3390, an ordinance requiring the wearing of masks or other face coverings in public spaces within the City of Abilene, Kansas.
Due to social distancing guidelines related to COVID-19, it is anticipated that seating and spacing for physical attendance in the meeting room by members of the public will be limited. Members of the public who are unable to physically attend the meeting, due to seating and spacing limitations or for any other reason, may view and listen to the live meeting on the City of Abilene’s YouTube page at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNURrU0ueP6_dRpHYu1wJEg.
The City Commission will describe, at the beginning of the meeting, whether public comment will be allowed and what process will be used to identify any individual who wishes to comment, if permitted.
After the meeting concludes, the recorded video will also be made available for public viewing on YouTube.
