It is time for another Employee Spotlight! This week’s spotlight is on Leann Johnson from the Abilene Police Department! Leann started with the City in August 2019 but has worked in the court system since 2001. Leann administrates the Municipal Court, which includes filing infraction and misdemeanor cases within the city limits, clerking for the Judge in the courtroom and follow-up on open cases. She also wears the hat of Office Manager for the Police Department.
Fun Facts about Leann:
- She has traveled to Sweden and would love to travel to a variety of Caribbean islands.
- She is married to Russ Johnson, has two daughters: Alyvia & Amara, 3 dogs and 2 cats.
- Music is a passion of hers. She graduated from K-State with a Bachelor of Music Education and was certified to teach K-12 band, orchestra and vocal music.
- Leann and her family enjoy concerts and KSU football.
