Christmas Tree Lane
Dear Property Owners/Occupants,
The City of Abilene’s Public Works Department will begin installing Cedar Trees for Christmas Tree Lane on Buckeye Avenue and NW 3rd Street on Thursday, November 16, 2023. As in previous years, they will be placed 5 to 6 feet behind the sidewalks in the front yard.
The City requests your cooperation and asks that the trees be decorated and lit by December 1. Since we will be driving posts for staking the trees, any markers or stakes indicating underground sprinkler lines or heads can be helpful.
Residents who prefer not to receive a tree or want to supply a tree of their choosing should contact the Public Works Department at 785-263-3510.
Tentative plans are to remove the trees, weather permitting, starting Monday, January 8, 2024.
We appreciate your cooperation and support for this Abilene tradition!
