Beginning Thursday, May 1, 2025, AT&T and their subcontractor, ADB Utilities, will begin upgrading transmission lines within the Abilene city limits.
Work will mostly take place along 14th Street, stretching east to west through town. Crews will also be working near major intersections like 14th & Buckeye and by Abilene High School and Abilene Middle School.
After passing Vine Street, the project will continue west along 14th Street into Dickinson County, then curve back into city limits along Van Buren Street. From there, crews will head south on Van Buren to the AT&T junction building near the railroad tracks, just outside city limits.
