The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has issued a permit for the temporary closure of K-15 / South Buckeye Ave at the BNSF Railroad crossing.

The Closure is scheduled for Monday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 22 through Thursday, July 24, 2025, weather permitting, to accommodate necessary "๐ก๐๐๐๐ ๐ค๐๐๐", as noted on the KDOT permit.

Along with the KDOT-proposed detour taking place on both state and county highways, ๐ ๐ฅ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ง๐:
- ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ข๐ on K-15/ Buckeye will detour on West 1st Street, then south on South Cedar Street, and finally east on SW 6th Street to return to K-15 / Buckeye.
- ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐๐๐ข๐ will follow the same route in reverse.
Emergency services have been notified to ensure continued access and response coverage during the closure.
