As Police Chief, my main priority is deploying police resources in a manner that proactively reduces criminal activity and strengthens community relationships. 2026 APD Goals & Objectives

1. Achieve accredited status through the Kansas Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (KLEAP)

• Staff will examine the organizational structure as compared to our operational practices.
• Assigned staff will be responsible for the review of policy and associated documents.
• Train all personnel on how accreditation will complement our operation.

2. Promote Community Safety

• Agency resources will be deployed in a manner which is both efficient and effective and aligns with the Vision of our department.
• Staff will create opportunities to educate citizens on current crime trends and ways to reduce victimization.

3. Social Media

• Staff will strive to frequently utilize social media as a means of communicating pertinent information and department accomplishments to citizens,
